PERLUSTRATE

To perlustrate the whole wide world with a fine tooth comb
Or rather to merely ramble or gambol about close to home
But possibly better still is to blend and mix those two
And glean the best from each regardless of what you do.

There is satisfaction to be gained from close examination
Learning interesting facts through thorough investigation
But the freedom we feel in simply letting ourselves go
Is exhilarating and titillating beyond anything we can know.

To balance ourselves in harmony between the yang and yin
Makes us whole and lets us take the full wide world in
Celebrating the fine and broad simultaneously
Is to be both living carefully and spontaneously.

(To go through and examine thoroughly.)
