TRILEMMA

In this election year there seems much to fear
For we are surely faced with potentials laced
With problems real, not fake, in the decisions we finally make
Regarding who our leaders will be and the type of future they see.
The unfolding drama is a trilemma because it is not a true dilemma
For the choices seem to be three as to who our future president will be
For some there is but one choice and it is clear for whom they speak their voice
But many lie in the middle ground and it is here it appears no answer to be found
Both choices are not amenable and their election would not be tenable
But one is worse than the other and makes me run screaming for my mother
To comfort me and swaddle me and give to me refuge and be my lee
Because to vote for neither would be a sin and may cause the worst choice to win
It seems like you cannot win for losing and whoever wins may be cause for serious boozing.

(Noun — a situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between three alternatives, especially when these are equally undesirable.)
