AGATHISM

Agathism is truly fine
And this I believe is good.
Sunshine and moonshine
And a hunk of firewood.

These things are good and fine
And they warm me from within
And they warm me on the outside
And are nearly free of sin.

Agathism is a practice I do abide
For there is no need to run and hide.
Things that are good withstand the light
And things that are good withstand the night.

Good things are right
And glow in God’s sight
Things that are evil and truly bad
They make me cry and they make be sad.

Agathism is like a wine that’s fine.
And I believe that is more than good
Like sunshine and moonshine
And a hunk of firewood.

(Noun – the doctrine that all things tend towards ultimate good.)
